Who we are and What we do

Umoja Foundation Trust (UFT) is a charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) formed in 2019 to work with newcomer immigrants and refugees living in Manchester UK. Our Organisation seeks to help promote unity, respect, and dignity amongst minority immigrants and refugees.

Newcomer to UK can find it difficult to integrate due to obstacles such as poverty, learning a new language, unemployment, culture shock, isolation and feelings of hopelessness. Through Umoja Foundation Trust (UFT), we provide a variety of culturally sensitive programs to help families, children, youth and women integrate successfully into their new social environment.

“To empower immigrants and refugees to successfully integrate into an inclusive United Kingdom society. We support initiatives to improve the quality of life in individuals, families, and communities”.

“Building strong communities; moving from newcomers to neighbours”.

Our goal is to increase the integration of BME Community in Tameside and and the surroundings. Improve health and wellbeing of everyone in Tameside regardless of their religion, ethnic origins, race etc..

We help to improve education and grade point of children and young people from BME community.

Umoja Foundation Trust encourages and empowers men and women in Tameside to access health services when needed.
