Who we are and What we do

Umoja Foundation Trust (CIO) is a charity organisation based in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside. We make our area more ‘age friendly and we create more things to do in Tameside for people aged 5 to 50+.

Umoja Foundation Trust brings together different generations and communities and actively participate to reduce social isolation.

We Work together to try new ways of doing things and build on the skills, knowledge, experience and confidence of people aged 5 to 50+

The relief of poverty, sickness and distress among refugees and asylum seekers and the local community.

We provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation.

We promote culture of inclusion and tolerance, education, training and skills development and promote socio-economic and environment challenges.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to increase the integration of BME Community in Tameside and and the surroundings. Improve health and wellbeing of everyone in Tameside regardless of their religion, ethnic origins, race etc..

Education

We help to improve education and grade point of children and young people from BME community.

Health

Umoja Foundation Trust encourages and empowers men and women in Tameside to access health services when needed.
